 Mission Statement

A short film about darkness, connection, and learning to see again.

“Some people live in darkness their whole lives —

and still, they see more than the rest of us.”

MY EYES is a short psychological drama that explores loneliness, empathy, and human connection in the digital age. The film asks a simple yet profound question: “What does it truly mean to see?”

In a world dominated by screens and isolation, MY EYES reminds us that the most powerful vision often comes not from our sight — but from our hearts.

Through emotional storytelling, minimalist cinematography, and deep character study, this project aims to inspire conversations about grief, digital intimacy, and the power of kindness between strangers.

At its core, MY EYES is a film about rediscovering light in the darkest corners of modern life.

 The Story

Eric Morrison, a weary software engineer, lives in silence after the sudden death of his best friend.
His world has dimmed — until his phone rings with a call from Sara Müller, a blind woman in Germany who needs help with a small task.

But this is not just another call.
It’s a window into another world — one built on sound, memory, and human presence.

Through the glow of a phone screen and the echo of their voices, they bridge continents, grief, and the limits of sight.
In that fragile connection, two lonely souls begin to see one another in ways no eyes ever could.

Why It Matters

MY EYES is more than a film.
It’s a reflection on the world of millions who cannot see — and the millions more who choose not to.

This story asks one simple question:

“What does it mean to truly see someone?”

By bringing the audience into the intimate reality of a blind woman’s life and the emotional blindness of a man consumed by grief, this film reveals the power of empathy — and the beauty that exists within darkness.

 Director’s Statement — MY EYES

“Tomorrow is promised to no one — not the old, nor the young.”
Today might be the last time we see the ones we love.
So we must speak what lies in our hearts, and act upon what we truly believe.

And if my heart carried wounds today,
I would write my anger upon the ice, and fix my gaze upon the rising sun.

MY EYES is a tribute to a small, fragile, yet unforgettable moment —
to those who fight darkness every single day,
yet still carry a light within themselves.

This film is about seeing —
not with the eyes, but with the heart.
